Synopsis: Everyone desperately scrambles to live out the coming destruction on their own terms. (TV Guide)

This season 6 finale of Fear The Walking Dead went in full on Seeking a Friend for the End of the World mode but who cares?

The Beginning was told in chapters, starting with Rachel (Brigitte Kali Canales), her baby, and her dog, watching the missile go off and getting Morgan’s warning. Despite what it may seem, this was not the end for her. A flat tire left Rachel stranded and her attempt to change it got her leg crushed but she still kept going until reality set in though her baby and dog still had a chance.

Meanwhile, the effects of the missile remain unclear (each chapter ended with characters watching it land but where remains to be seen). The next chapter saw those who weren’t in the sub. Riley was apprehended and brought to them, telling them all about the bunker Alicia was held up in. However, getting there would prove to be a challenge. Daniel was skeptical of it all and he was right. He also heard coordinates for another safe place from an unknown yet familiar voice that everyone headed to instead. Those coordinates led to a helicopter piloted by Althea’s girlfriend from the commonwealth.

The next chapter saw Dwight and Sherry find an abandoned house and finally choosing to live the kind of life they’ve always intended for each other now that the end was near until it was clear that it wasn’t abandoned. The couple’s storm cellar was hijacked by some of Teddy’s disciples but they got it back in time to shield themselves.

The next chapter saw Teddy and Dakota until John Sr. caught up to them. He was there for Dakota and forgave her for killing his son and June joined in on the forgiveness. Once Teddy and his escape plan were exposed, the cracks continued to build within her as the missile got closer. Using some trickery, John Sr, and June got into Teddy’s bunker while the other two shared some personal time where Dakota killed Teddy.

The next chapter saw Strand face the truth behind what happened, being led to a historian named Howard (Omid Abtahi) in some sort of mall. Of course he lied, calling himself Morgan Jones.

The next chapter saw Morgan and Grace, still at the submarine as she was still not willing to give him and their future up as the missile landed somewhere outside. Faced with their literal end, they were greeted by walker Rachel with her baby and dog.

Once the missile landed, it rocked everyone and not everyone made it (Dakota). However, Strand took his survival in a different direction, telling the truth and opening up about the future to Howard. Also, when it looked like Morgan and Grace survived, the end of the episode suggested that they were not quite out of the woods yet.

So the world is going to be a little different come season 7 of Fear The Walking Dead but the only real question is where is that helicopter going?
