They join a growing lineup of her acclaimed works—Scott & Bailey, At Home with the Braithwaites and To Walk Invisible—all streaming now. • From August 26 through September 4, BritBox’s ‘Crime Spree’ will debut a curated mix of full season and single-episode drops from some of the UK’s most gripping crime series. Fans can look forward to Sister Boniface Mysteries, Second Sight, Dublin Murders and more, offering a blend of cozy mystery and British grit. This binge-worthy slate sets the stage for Lynley – a fresh take on the well-to-do detective – coming soon to BritBox.

It’s not long before Alison is pulled into a high-stakes police investigation when DS Ashleigh Francis (Charlotte Ritchie, Wonka, Ghosts) asks that she use her lip-reading skills to monitor a dangerous criminal gang. As her interpretation of their covert conversations becomes central to the investigation, Alison is plunged into an exhilarating new world. Her role quickly becomes key to unlocking the police case, but her feelings become complicated when she finds herself drawn to one of the suspects, Liam Bayne (Kieron Moore, Vampire Academy, Masters of the Air). The nun who is the police’s secret weapon is back. Crime solving is her habit! The wine-making, moped-riding nun investigates more ugly deeds in beautiful surroundings. It’s the mid-1960s in the quaint Cotswold village of Great Slaughter, but strange things are afoot. A killer scarecrow stalks the streets, all the women call a general strike and the police embark on something called “team building.” Sister Boniface (Sister Boniface, Father Brown) is looking forward to a wholesome weekend away with the sisters, only to be confronted with yet another murder.
