CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada’s Paralympic network, will deliver comprehensive coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games from March 6–15, with more than 120 original hours of broadcast coverage and an additional 800 hours of live streaming coverage available across multiple platforms including CBC Gem.
New original CBC docuseries Cirque Life (Mar. 19, also on CBC TV) offers an immersive, behind-the-scenes look at one of Cirque du Soleil’s most popular touring shows, Luzia.
On March 29, The 55th Annual JUNO Awards will air live across CBC platforms at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from Hamilton, Ontario. Hosted by Mae Martin, Canada’s biggest night in music will feature unforgettable performances and special moments.
Acclaimed international series highlights debuting in March include the exclusive Canadian premieres of UK drama Prisoner 951 (Mar. 27), the extraordinary true story of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s abduction and her husband’s relentless campaign to secure her freedom; comedy Behind Every Man Season 2 (Mar. 6), about the behind-the-scenes drama and intertwined lives of Danish restaurant owners; and UK comedy-drama Frauds (Mar. 20), with two con women who pull off the art heist of the century; plus Deli Boys (Mar. 13), a comedy about two pampered Pakistani American brothers who inherit their late father’s secret criminal empire.
The Nature of Things continues in March with new episodes Decisions, Decisions (Mar. 5), about the science of everyday choices and why we often get them wrong, and Athens: Birth of Democracy (Mar. 26), exploring the origins of democracy and lessons for today. In honour of former The Nature of Things host David Suzuki’s 90th birthday on March 24, CBC Gem will offer a David Suzuki at 90 Collection (Mar. 20) featuring favourite titles such as Suzuki Signs Off, Science & Cannabis, War for the Woods and True Survivors.
Additional documentary highlights include The Meghan Effect: How She Transformed the Royals (Mar. 1), tracing Meghan Markle’s rise, and her and Prince Harry’s dramatic departure from royal life; Girl Climber (Mar. 13) spotlighting rock climber Emily Harrington, who strives to prove herself in a male-dominated sport; The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue (Mar. 13), winner of TIFF 2025’s People’s Choice Award (Documentary), chronicling an Israeli general’s daring family rescue; and Oscar winner No Other Land (Mar. 13), in which Palestinian activist Basel Adra documents his community under occupation, and his unlikely alliance with an Israeli journalist.
Short docs include Doctor, Doctor (Mar. 5), as surgeon-scientist Dr. Kazuhiro Yasufuku works to cut delays in cancer diagnosis with a groundbreaking device; Bird Names (Mar. 12), examining nearly 150 outdated North American bird names and the legacies they reveal; and The Last of the Lookouts (Mar. 25), following B.C. fire lookout Bart Vanderlinde in what may be his final season.
The Spotlight on Canadian Film Collection includes CBC Films titles The Burning Season (Feb. 27), a passionate and tragic lakeside love story told in reverse; Stellar (Feb. 27), in which two people meet in a bar and set off a cosmic event; Backspot (Mar. 6, pictured), following a driven young cheerleader (Devery Jacobs) battling anxiety on an elite team; Chien Blanc (Mar. 6), based on the novel about a writer who adopts a dog; Queen Tut (Mar. 13), in which an Egyptian immigrant and a trans drag performer bond while fighting to save a queer bar; and The Queen of My Dreams (Apr. 3), following a queer Pakistani-Canadian woman returning to Karachi after her father’s death.
Additional titles in the Spotlight on Canadian Film Collection include Seagrass (Mar. 6), a FIPRESCI Prize-winning drama about a family grappling with loss; Wild Goat Surf (Mar. 13), following a 13-year-old girl chasing her dream of becoming a surfer; Brotherhood (Mar. 20), a period drama where a holiday canoe trip turns into a desperate fight for survival after a freak storm; and The Young Arsonists (Mar. 27), about four adolescent girls reclaiming an abandoned farmhouse.
International feature films include Yorgos Lanthimos’ Oscar-winning The Favourite (Mar. 13), starring Olivia Colman, Emma Stone, and Rachel Weisz; and Wim Wenders’ award-winning character study Perfect Days (Mar. 20).
Lifestyle programming highlights include the return of The Great British Baking Show (Mar. 1) for its 16th season and the farewell for judge Dame Prue Leith, with a new group of Britain’s best amateur bakers competing for the title of UK’s Best Amateur Baker, and The Dog House Season 4 (Mar. 6), following the dedicated staff at Woodgreen Pets Charity as they work tirelessly to match rescue dogs with their perfect forever homes.
