Move the Base saw the team encounter another dull, low stakes conflict. This season has been taxing but at least it's almost over.

Synopsis: When Cap becomes an unwitting participant in a psychological test created by Skip’s father, it leads to friction between the two of them. Rook proposes a game night as a team bonding exercise, but Cap has a more extreme solution in mind – to move the base.  (Showtime)

The lowkey, low stakes nature of the series continues once again in this episode as the team looks to re-boost morale after an ill-advised experiment is taken the wrong way, leading to a crazy chain of events.

Move The Base started with Cap getting some mail which included a top secret letter informing him that Skip was a Russian double agent looking to sabotage the moon mission. He was also given a pistol to be used to perform the supposed assassination. He was haunted by what he was about to do but one night once Cap was about to do the deed, it was revealed that it was all a test by Skip (created by his father) to determine his loyalty to the mission which he clearly passed.

This incident caused some friction between Cap and Skip but the latter didn’t find it a big deal. Therefore, it was up to Rook to find a way to boost morale amongst the team. His suggestion was a game night which went as well as one would expect. Out of frustration, Cap stormed off where he ran into Wally who picked up that something was wrong. He believed that the source of their problems was the location of their base as it was overtop of a magnetic field. His suggestion was to move the base. Suffice it to say when Cap gets an idea, he goes crazy with it but it was enough to convince the others to help moving the base (it was designed to be mobile). However, the others were merely indulging him as Skip had a plan to expose him, having documented him on camera for a while.

The team’s move was complicated by an incoming sandstorm. Going over his footage and reminiscing about the good times, Skip changed his mind about his plan. The move seemed to have helped right away. The episode ended with the team continuing their last game and Cap getting frustrated with another hard question.

While the monotony has occasionally spawned some fun moments, they have been few and far between as the series has still been a chore with one episode left. There’s no reason why it would change at this point but hopefully the finale will see at least some improvement.
