Director: Jennifer Lynch
Rating: TV-PG
Running Time: 45mins

The episode started with Talbot determined to do whatever he was programmed to do. He took a gun and appeared to be looking for Robin. Fitz continued working on fixing the chamber he destroyed. Fitz and Simmons had to decide what to do next. Yo-Yo got away in the ship somewhere and was fighting her new arms. The mission was more important than whatever unfinished business Coulson and May had.
The mission was to hit Hale’s base. Coulson was staying behind. Meanwhile, Hale was freed from her cell. Creel was worse and wanted the voices out of his head. Mack was preparing the zephyr for space. Everybody knew that Deke had a crush on Daisy but the others weren’t the best to give advice. Talbot found Robin’s room. Daisy and May infiltrated Hale’s base and found a surrendering Hale who wanted their help against Ruby.
Fitz and Simmons appeared to fix the chamber but they only sabotaged it. Ruby and von Strucker found out and forced them to start again. Yo-Yo fought off a soldier. Polly caught Talbot in their room. Robin knew he was under mind control. She told him that the Earth was going to be destroyed soon. Robin just watched as Talbot put her mother to sleep. He wanted her to go with him, however, she already knew.
Daisy, May, and Hale set off after Ruby as Fitz and Simmons fixed the machine but they were hesitant to handle the gravitonium, however, Ruby and von Strucker found a way. Meanwhile, those still at the lighthouse figured out that Talbot took Robin. Ruby entered the chamber and it did not go as expected. The others arrived and she was let out. Even after absorbing a small amount of gravitonium, Ruby showed some semblance of powers before succumbing to the voices and killing von Strucker. She was understandably feeling very vulnerable.
Coulson and Mack caught up to Talbot and Robin and tried to get him to fight the brainwashing. He let Robin go and put a gun to his throat. Hale and Daisy tried to talk Ruby down while Coulson and Mack were trying to do the same with Talbot. May, Fitz, and Simmons found Yo-Yo who went to Daisy. Talbot was taken care of, however, Ruby proved to be more of a challenge until Yo-Yo got her revenge. Her body then rose before creating some sort of sonic boom that caused Hale to disappear.
The last scene was of Hale appearing on the earlier confederacy ship to inform them that Shield had the gravitonium. It appears that they are willing to go after Shield for the gravitonium.
Overall, this was a good episode that saw the annoying Ruby and von Strucker face their demise. A lot of subplots here were handled a little too quickly here with the aforementioned Ruby seeing her demise and setting up a revenge subplot with Hale and Talbot acting on his brainwashed orders. It would have been nice to see these play out over a longer period of time. It will be interesting to see how the Avengers: Infinity war will figure into everything, if it does and the truth behind how the Earth was destroyed, assuming that Ruby’s death was part of the loop. With this season potentially being the last, hopefully they can give fans a satisfying end to this season’s storyline as well as the series.
Score: 8/10
