Yes, it finally happened! They’re back together again! This bulk of the episode was a bit slow but it was necessary, building up momentum until the last scene that was definitely worth the wait.

The loss of a certain individual is felt within both narrative timelines in this episode. It continues this season’s trend of continuing the tales of Claire and Jamie (in their respective time periods), but shows the difficult changes that this man and wife must face after their fateful departure. Both have endured joy, sadness, and loss, and tonight’s episode continues that trend.

How does one live inside a prison? And how does one survive his or her own prison? That is the question posed in this new episode. It still continues with a split-narrative time frame, switching off between Jamie and Claire (in their own respective time periods) as each one continues to live life without each other. There was a lot of ground to cover in this episode, especially Claire’s story, so let’s begin.
