Honest trailers is back for their annual expose of this year’s Best Picture Oscar nominees. While not as great as last year’s video, their analysis of this year’s nominees was still pretty spot on with a little something for everyone. They’re totally right about The Shape of Water, Call Me By Your Name, Darkest Hour, and The Post. It will be exciting to see which film comes out on top after this year’s 90th Academy Awards on Sunday. You can expect our predictions soon. For even more honesty, click here.

The Oscars (2017) Honest Trailer
I’ve posted a few times about the Honest Trailers from Screen Junkies. For those who still don’t know Honest Trailers are a series of trailer parodies, that satirize films and are often hilarious. If you would like to see more, click here. It was only a matter of time until they covered this year’s Oscar best picture nominees and now they have in the video below. This new edition definitely doesn’t let up with some pretty accurate titles for the 9 nominees. My favorite was Moonlight’s “A Lot of Oscar Stuff”. Zootopia Honest Trailer
If you would like to watch more honest trailers, click here. Everybody knows about honest trailers, the videos that usually make fun of movies. This time their target is Zootopia, an animated film which was released earlier this year. You can read my review here. While some past honest trailers have been a little harsh, I found that they went rather easy on this one. I think they actually liked this one. What is there really negative to say about a Disney/Pixar (or was it Disnar? or Pisney?) movie anyway. It is easy to forget that there are animals here anyways. I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing more movies within this world.
Deadpool Honest Trailer
Everybody knows about Honest trailers, the ones where they look back on old movies and make fun of them. If you would like to see any more honest trailers that I’ve posted, click here. This time, it’s Deadpool’s turn. Unlike past Honest trailers, this one is special since Deadpool himself, a.k.a Ryan Reynolds, makes an appearance in the video. This is kind of fitting as this continues the character’s meta-like nature, breaking the fourth wall once again. I do think Deadpool has been a little over-exposed as of late but this worked for me as it was just another chance to see him again. Everyone else should too as Deadpool has now been released on DVD/Blu-Ray. If you would like to read my review of Deadpool, click here.
Honest Trailer – Star Wars: The Force Awakens
I’ve posted a lot here about honest trailers and rightfully so, they’re funny while speaking the truth and sometimes bringing up things that we may have missed. It was just a matter of time until they got to Star Wars: The Force Awakens and now they have. This particular trailer offered similar argument that I’ve heard before but for some reason it just sounds better when the honest trailers voice guy says it. What was special about this one for me was the honest trailer voice guys party happening over the course of the trailer. I enjoyed this trailer very much and I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves next. If you would like to see more, click here for another honest trailer for The Revenant.
