Logan Second Opinion Review
If you’ve been following this site, then you would have known that Logan has already been reviewed on this site. For a deeper analysis, I recommend you read Josh Tarpley’s earlier review. I won’t be doing a full on review per se but since it is a big film, I thought I’d share some of my thoughts on it. I will say that I liked it just as much as he did.
Logan – Violence and Profanity Never Felt So Appropriate (Guest Review)
Hugh Jackman has appeared in films as Wolverine for 17 years now. That is longer than any other superhero or James Bond actor, the fact that his physicality has increased with each movie is even more impressive. Jackman has been the protagonist of not only two solo Wolverine movies, but he was pretty much the protagonist of the majority of the X-Men films already. With central roles in at least six X-movies, how in the world can they tell another Wolverine story that has anything new to say? Well, we live in an amazing time as Logan tells the definitive Wolverine story and ends up being one of the best blockbusters in recent memory.
X-Men Series Recap Rap
The X-Men film series has had a long history, spanning 8 movies over 17 years (not including Deadpool or Logan). It has encompassed many storylines, featuring many characters, over different time periods but how do they all fit together? Surprisingly, it can be done in 2 minutes. The video series “Recap Raps” from the Youtube channel “The Warp Zone” has done exactly that. It recaps the series in rapping fashion, going from the original X-Men, all the way to X-Men: Apocalypse, showing the best and the worst of the series while explaining how it all fit together. This was a nice blast from the past and it would definitely be a good thing to watch before Logan is released on Friday. It is rumoured that it is also connected to rest of the series so it will be exciting to see how it all fits together.
