Another ride, another movie. Disney cashed in on the behemoth that was Pirates of The Caribbean for well over a decade now. The once popular Disney attraction turned into massive blockbuster franchise. It turned Johnny Depp into one of the best on-screen pirates we have ever seen, and now they are back at the helm, with Jungle Cruise.
If it’s not superheroes or Star Wars, Disney is always trying to find a way to make some serious money at the box-office. Enter Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson cruising their way to what seems like a sure fire Disney hit. What felt like a mash-up between a kid friendly Anaconda and The Mummy, Blunt and Johnson immediately have great chemistry and do a great job at selling this trailer.
Johnson’s character is a jungle cruise tour guide named Frank, but also appears to be some sort of a little con-artist and when Blunt (Lily) shows up at his door with a boat load of cash seeking a tour guide, it’s a match made in heaven. Toss in a bunch of talented cast mates and Jungle Cruise has some serious potential to be just an fun summer popcorn movie!
