With Josh Brolin owning this summer with the releases of Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2 and Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Netflix knew this was the perfect time to quietly put out this indie film. Apparently Netflix bought this film after it was in distribution hell for the past two years so hopefully that doesn’t play into its quality and instead the inability to find a market for it.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of Netflix’s first big sitcoms. With Tina Fey’s trademark wit and charm, Kimmy and the cast of misfits she surrounded herself with got into outrageously unrealistic and yet somehow topical situations.
13 Reasons Why is a very controversial show. On one side it depicts some very graphic and disturbing material that has caused some people to feel triggered watching the content, but on the other it has brought the very same issues that these themes and this story focuses on to the spotlight so that people who feel like they are in a similar situation can seek help.
I was skeptical and lacked any excitement when I heard the Jurassic Park franchise would be re-imagined for a new trilogy. Ignoring the last two, Jurassic World was a sequel to the original making Fallen Kingdom the second attempt at a third sequential film. Jurassic World managed to set up a new story in the same universe with a group of fun characters so this film surely must do something different than The Lost World...
Arrested Development has got to be the show put through the most obstacles since its inaugural season all the way back in 2003.
