If you are unsure about this week’s DVD, Blu-Ray, or digital releases, maybe my site’s reviews can help.
After a scene-stealing debut in Captain America: Civil War, it was only inevitable that Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man would get its own film. If this one is any indication, this is a very promising start.
Here is a look at the movies we will be covering this week, time permitting:
With Summer in full swing, why not take another look back at my list of most anticipated films of 2017. Certain movies have come and gone and release dates changed since my last update. You can check out my most recent list here and of course you can find links to relevant site posts (if applicable). Keep in mind that all movies and release dates are subject to change and I will update the list again accordingly.
Featuring trailers of Wonder, Despicable Me 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, The House, From the Land of the Moon, Wish Upon, and The Glass Castle.
Featuring clips of Snatched, Sleight, Alien: Covenant, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Everything Everything, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, 3 Generations, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
We are now just over 3 months away from the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming. If you would like to watch the first trailer, click here. This trailer offers more of Peter Parker (Tom Holland) trying to find his place as well as a better glimpse of Michael Keaton’s vulture. We also get a little more action which was mostly an extension of what we saw in the first trailer. There was one mild spoiler in the trailer that I didn’t like being when he lost his suit. He’s obviously going to get it back but I wish it wasn’t in the trailer. I don’t think anyone needs convincing but Spider-Man Homecoming releases July 7th, 2017.
There were many great movies in 2016 and you can read my best and worst lists here and here. What exactly do we have to look forward to now that we’re in 2017? In order to help, I’ve updated my super early list of most anticipated films of 2017 that originally appeared here. Things have definitely changed since I wrote that list with new movies being announced, trailers being released, and release dates changing. Below is a list of 26 movies, with relevant links, to look forward to in 2017. If things change, I will update this list again.
It’s finally here, the trailer for one of my most anticipated movies of 2017, Spider-Man Homecoming. After a successful debut in Captain America: Civil War earlier this year, the third recent incarnation of Peter Parker (Tom Holland) now has a movie of his own to strut his stuff. This one focuses on Peter as a teenager where he is still learning about being a superhero and his inexperience shows. He’s not alone this time however, as Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is there to provide some assistance and become a mentor to Peter and it is that relationship I’m really looking forward to seeing. I’m also looking forward to seeing Michael Keaton as Vulture. The movie looks exciting and I can’t wait to see it. Spider-Man Homecoming releases July 7th, 2017.
