After several years in development hell and numerous unexpected delays, the latest film in the X-Men franchise, The New Mutants, has finally hit theatres. The film appeared to be a fresh twist on the franchise and the superhero genre as a whole, as it was strongly influenced by independent horror films. However, the consensus seems to be overwhelmingly negative, as many people agree that it definitely wasn’t worth the wait. Most Anticipated Films of 2018: Bite-Sized
Now that the year is winding down, take a look at a bite-sized list of my most anticipated films of next year. The New Mutants Trailer #1
This ain’t your usual mutants. I know absolutely nothing about the New Mutants. In fact, I’ve never heard of them until this new movie was announced. Suffice it to say, I didn’t know what to expect, however, color me surprised. This trailer was pretty cool and introduced the new mutants, Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams), Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Cannonball (Charlie Heaton), Sunspot (Henry Zaga), and Mirage (Blu Hunt), as well as the creepy looking facility that they are being held in and will probably try to escape from. This was not on my radar but it is now. The New Mutants releases April 13th, 2018.
