How is it that a show with such a toxic environment can be so addictive to watch?
Well that season certainly flew by. This show was being billed as a LOST meets This Is Us character drama so of course it was going to find a big audience. But, did it have enough substance to sustain itself?
It’s been over a week since The Umbrella Academy, the newest comic-turned-TV show, has premiered and while it has already made headlines being the most binged Netflix show this past week I decided to take a more patient approach to viewing and have just recently finished the series.
Grace and Frankie is one of Netflix’s longest running original sitcoms. Five years ago it took the streaming services by storm with an absolutely all-star cast. The only concern was whether or not it could survive on a story surrounding seventy-year-olds reinventing themselves. While its constant renewal gives proof that there was nothing to be concerned about, how long can this story feel fresh?
